About me
Meet Selene
Much like you, I’ve been on a wild life journey, throwing myself into some crazy and mostly great experiences. I grew up in the Interlake, in a log house in the bush. I watched my mother draw, paint and build things my whole life so expressing through art came pretty naturally. I even held my own gallery art show when I was 20. Horses took up much of my attention from early on and that love developed into a job as a stable manager/riding coach/horse trainer. But in 2015, I shifted gears and got into the Body Modification Industry, was a body piercer for 7 years and morphed my way into tattooing (both life-long passions.
The studio I work out of is a bright atmosphere with good vibes to promote a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. I have a private room within this studio where there are a variety of cosmetic and aesthetic services provided by various artists.
Designs I enjoy making come from the natural world- I love organic and ornamental elements. Illustrative botanical, Neo Traditonal and dark ornamental drawings are the styles most suited to the work I like to produce.
My mindset on tattooing is to be present and remember we have decided to embark on a ancient ritual journey together. Art is a process that takes time and patience, tattooing is a craft that takes even more time, patience and care.
Although we all have busy lives, plans, commitments and struggles. Don’t come in ready to leave. Be in the moment. It’s part of the process- I know it hurts, but don’t rush. Typically, rushing never made anything better.
This is the time you made to decorate, meditate and heal yourself.
